Reference Service
Telephone and face to face reference service is available during all hours the library is open. Staff members are trained to locate the information patrons need for leisure, education, or work. Service is provided to patrons of all ages.

Readers’ Advisory Service
Staff members are available to help you choose the perfect book. Book suggestions are also available via our online bookclubs “DearReader” and “BookNews” and through NoveList Plus.

BookNews
Here’s an opportunity to keep up with new, entertaining, and important books. By subscribing to one or more e-newsletters, every month you will receive an email listing of four to five titles in the categories you have selected. Pictures of the books’ covers with short summaries of each title are included. For further information about the availability of an item you can then click on the link to the Bartlett Library catalog. At this point you can place a reserve and check out the item at the library when it becomes available. Newsletter categories are mystery, audio, teen, romance, new non-fiction, business, new fiction, home & garden.

Programs
Programming is an integral part of service at the Bartlett Public Library District. Throughout the year many programs are planned for adult audiences including music recitals, author and storyteller visits, and informational programs. The library newsletter, in-house brochures, and local press releases advertise these events. The Library Calendar of Events lists programs and events for the current month.

Book Discussion Group
The Library sponsors one book discussion group. The group meets the last Friday of the month at 12:30 p.m. and discusses contemporary and classic fiction and nonfiction. The books scheduled for discussion by the group are listed in the library’s newsletter and are available on bookmarks at the Adult & Teen Services Desk. Books are selected by the book group themselves.

Reserves
Patrons, whether Bartlett Public Library District cardholders or cardholders from another library, may place reserves on books listed in our card catalog or in the “on order” file. The patron will receive a telephone call or email from a library staff member when the reserved item is available. Reserve cards are available at public service desks throughout the library. Reserves for Bartlett materials may also be placed online.

Interlibrary Loans
Books not available at the Bartlett Public Library District may be requested through interlibrary loan at the Adult & Teen Services Desk. This service is available to Bartlett Public Library District cardholders.

Public Computers
